Sims 4 Player Recreates Dispatch Characters in the Game

One talented The Sims 4 player has recreated some of the members of Dispatch’s Phoenix Program in-game, showing just how the Z-Teamers would look if they switched game genres to a life-sim-style format. The Sims 4’s in-depth character creation tools offer a lot of ways for players to customize their Sims, and the misfit superheroes of Dispatch look great as part of its world.

Created by AdHoc Studio, Dispatch has been one of the biggest indie game surprises of 2025, telling the story of retired superhero Mecha Man, a.k.a. Robert Robertson III, who becomes an emergency dispatcher for a team of former supervillains trying to turn their lives around. While it was up against tough competition from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, it managed to snag The Game Awards 2025 nominations for Best Debut Indie Game and Players Voice awards, and it holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, with 97 percent of reviewers giving it a thumbs up.

Dispatch Superheroes Recreated in The Sims 4

The super-powered comedic drama tale has drawn the attention of at least one talented creator in The Sims 4’s gaming community, who has shared visuals of three of the superheroes in Dispatch transformed into residents of the life simulator’s world. Specifically, the creations shared by Reddit user BowlerExotic2252 show off their interpretations of Malevola, Punch Up, and the titular superhero dispatcher himself. While only showing off still images of the three heroes, this player’s work showcases how the game’s character creation system can be used to not only customize characters’ outfits, but to get all their facial details just right, from Punch Up’s well-groomed mustache to Malevola’s demonic red skin and glowing yellow eyes.

First up, Malevola’s outfit is nearly spot-on when compared to her appearance in Dispatch, showing her in a simple white tank top and blue denim cut-offs, with just a single dangly yellow earring accenting the right side of her head. Making use of the Create-a-Sim system’s less traditional skin tone and eye color options, her demonic nature easily shows through, right down to the lack of pupils, though recreating her horns in-game provides a particular challenge with the options available. Similarly, old-timey strongman Punch Up looks appropriate for his role, with his trademark curly-cue handlebar taking center stage on his face and his simplistic green buttoned shirt with brown suspenders capturing his aesthetic, though he does seem to have sprouted some extra-furry chest hair in his Sims 4 version. Of course, there is the issue of his diminutive 3’3″ stature, which can’t really be faithfully recreated without modding The Sims 4, but his portrait has been adjusted downward to create the illusion of the height difference.

Prior to creating these two heroes, who can be sent out on missions during Dispatch’s SDN sequences, this particular Sims 4 player had already shared their take on Robert Robertson and included an updated version along with the two new heroes. Clad in his blue button-up work uniform, Robert’s tousled hair, bold black eyebrows, and lightly freckled face are all still achievable using Create-a-Sim, as are his old-before-his-time wrinkles. But there are minute details, like the chunk missing from his upper right ear, that haven’t been incorporated into the game’s vastly accessible creation tool content. In addition, this same creator has shared an accurate Sims 4 recreation of Invisigal that seems to be an even greater hit among fans than the other three heroes.

While some fans may be excited to see the rest of the Phoenix Program’s members recreated in The Sims 4, some of the characters from Dispatch seem a little too far out of the Create-a-Sim system’s limitations to remake with a reliable degree of accuracy. This mostly applies to the remaining non-human members of the group, like Sonar, a human-bat hybrid whose giant head resembles much more the latter than the former, and Golem, who is a massive living construct made out of clay, rocks, and whatever pieces of machinery or other junk he’s absorbed into his durable-yet-squishy body. Still, other heroes like Blonde Blazer, Phenomaman, and Flambae, along with support characters like Royd and Chase, could easily make appearances in the life sim game.
