Ever since his sudden appearance at the end of the Granolah arc, Black Frieza has cemented his place as the most powerful villain in the history of Dragon Ball that the heroes had to face after Beerus himself. Not only did he manage to take out Gas in a single hit, but just one punch from him was strong enough to knock out Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta, the strongest states of both Saiyans.

This showed that Frieza had not been sitting idly by ever since the end of the Tournament of Power, since he trained for an equivalent of 10 years and used his potential to its fullest. As it stands, there is not a single mortal in the entire Dragon Ball multiverse who can take this villain on, so let’s go over the only ways that the heroes can possibly put a stop to the Galactic Tyrant.

Goku And Vegeta Can Fuse In Their Strongest Forms

Vegito Or Gogeta May Hold This Answer

One of the most exciting prospects to see once Super returns is how the fusions between Goku and Vegeta would work with their powerful Divine Techniques. It is known that Goku and Vegeta are now far more powerful than they have ever been before, and that both of the fusions between them multiply this strength exponentially, so a resulting fusion formed with either of the Divine Techniques would easily overpower Black Frieza.

As for how this could look, many fans tend to liken each of the fusions to either of the constituents due to their personalities. For example, Vegito is arrogant, brash, and prideful of the superiority of his strength, much like Vegeta, which has caused many to assume that if they were to fuse into him, he would likely use Vegeta’s technique due to being more like him. In each of his brief appearances, Vegito was very similar to Vegeta in the sense that he prioritized brute offensive might over technique, so Ultra Ego would fit him perfectly.

Conversely, fans believe that Goku and Gogeta are similar in the sense that they are rather stoic in battle and seem to be far calmer in their demeanor compared to their counterparts. Because of this, many believe that Gogeta would likely use Ultra Instinct as his Divine Technique since all of his battles show his finesse and technique rather than his sheer overwhelming power. Due to this, Ultra Instinct Gogeta would be far more powerful than Black Frieza.

Of course, this is all assuming that the resulting fusion wouldn’t be able to use both techniques simultaneously, which is the most probable outcome. This is because Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego are actually techniques rather than transformations, though Goku and Vegeta needed forms to house them within themselves. Although they seem to be exact opposites, fighting geniuses like Vegito and Gogeta would be able to find the perfect balance to use the powers together, leaving Black Frieza in the dust.

With the release of Volume 24 of the Dragon Ball Super manga, Toyotarou revealed who the main characters are for the future of the series. While it was incredible to see Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Broly, and Piccolo all standing in their strongest forms and being confirmed to be on a relative level of power, the unfortunate truth of the matter is that they still can’t hold a candle to the strength of Black Frieza.

Ever since the Tournament of Power ended and the manga continued with two new arcs, fans could see that there was never another transformation awaiting the heroes beyond their ultimate states. This was a breath of fresh air since the fandom has largely gotten tired of seeing new transformations pop up so often in the series, since it takes away from the impact of the ones before them. However, if the current strongest states of the heroes are the final ones they can reach, they won’t be able to stand up to Black Frieza.

While this is an unfortunate truth, it could be a change of pace since it could show how the franchise could prioritize a method of battle that’s more than just brute strength. This way, each of the main heroes would have to work together and play off each other’s strengths and weaknesses to simultaneously bring the fight to Frieza, which would be an interesting inversion of what the fights in the series typically look like. Looking at the roster, it can be seen that each of the five central characters excels in an area where the others don’t.

Namely, Goku’s Ultra Instinct grants the best defense, Vegeta’s Ultra Ego provides him with the best offense, and Beast Gohan has incredible speed and ferocity that was seen to overwhelm even Ultra Instinct. On the other hand, Piccolo has the best tactical mind in the series, so he can formulate strategies better than anyone, while Broly’s unlimited potential allows him to close massive gaps of power in a short amount of time. When all of these characters work together, they can prove to be more than a match for Frieza.
