Blending Innovative PvPvE With Rich Storytelling

Aside from being the next promising new IP from FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki himself, The Duskbloods is still shrouded in mystery. The creators vaguely revealed that the game will “blend innovative PvPvE gameplay with deep and personal storytelling,” seemingly placing the intriguing title somewhere between the original Elden Ring and Nightreign’s concept. Like, just imagine Nightreign set in an entirely fresh world, without any time-pressure mechanics, and featuring story elements to rival the studio’s best works – sounds quite tempting, doesn’t it?

While Nightreign’s formula proved very successful for the studio and suitable for a certain group of players, many crave a more traditional FromSoft experience, and The Duskbloods seems like a direct response to that. The only potential issue that may stop some fans from grabbing The Duskbloods from day one is the title’s status as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.

Star Citizen

Promise of Realistically Simulated Universe

Years in the making, Star Citizen is slowly taking shape, with its story campaign, Squadron 42, currently targeting a 2026 release date. It’s unknown how long it will take for the entire game to at least drop its alpha status, but the promise of a deeply simulated universe on a realistic scale isn’t something that could be achieved quickly, and there aren’t any exact alternatives to what Cloud Imperium has been building.

Star Citizen has long become a subject for various jokes and memes, standing among the games with the longest development time and threatening to actually lead the pack. At the same time, the game’s seamless universe has been accessible to players since late 2016, and it continues to inspire fans with each new update and showcase.
