Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will officially go offline on April 17, 2026, publisher Activision announced in a new statement. After finding huge success with its free-to-play Battle Royale title, Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision released a dedicated mobile version for iOS and Android devices in March 2024. But just two years after its global release, the studio has decided to shut down the servers entirely and say goodbye to Warzone Mobile.

After playtests took place in select regions, Activision finally released Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile on March 21, 2024. With the iconic Verdansk, Rebirth Island, and many fan-favorite weapons once again available in this mobile version of the beloved Battle Royale title, fans were eager to jump into the shooter and take it with them on the go. In its first few days on the market, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile generated nearly $1.5 million. When its pre-release version is taken into account, this number rises even further, to $2.2 million. As a free-to-play title, this revenue was generated via in-game microtransactions.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Servers Will Go Offline on April 17

Unfortunately, while these numbers sound impressive, they paled in comparison to the hugely popular Call of Duty: Mobile, which not only surpassed 100 million downloads in its first few days of release but also reportedly generated twice as much in revenue as Wazone Mobile. Six years later, the 2019 mobile title is still receiving regular seasonal content updates. Sadly, the same cannot be said for Warzone Mobile, as the shooter will go offline on April 17, 2026, just two years after its release.

In a new support post on Activision’s website, the studio thanked fans for their dedication to Warzone Mobile before announcing that servers will go offline on April 17, 2026, after which the game will no longer be available to play. “We are deeply grateful to the community that supported Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and to the developers who brought the experience to life,” the studio said. Activision then said it looks forward to supporting Call of Duty: Mobile with new seasonal updates going forward, suggesting it will remain the studio’s main focus for mobile spin-offs.

The recent announcement comes nearly one year after Activision said it would be ending support for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. At the time, the studio said it would keep servers operational but remove the game from the App Store and Google Play Store. This meant that anyone who had not downloaded the title before the cutoff date (May 18, 2025) could no longer play the game. Those who had the game installed could continue to play, but its developers would no longer release new content updates for the shooter.

Those still looking to get their Call of Duty fix can jump into the free-to-play Call of Duty: Mobile, or check out the main version of Warzone on either consoles or PC. Both Black Ops 7 and Warzone recently received a huge Season 2 update, which brought tons of new content to both titles, including new Multiplayer maps, new weapons, a fresh Battle Pass, and a refreshed version of Rebirth Island for Warzone fans. Further content is also on the way, as Activision recently teased a second roadmap for Season 2 Reloaded, which will likely release in the next few weeks.
