Melissa Lee
Melissa Lee is the host of CNBC’s “Fast Money” (Monday-Thursday, 5PM-6PM ET; Friday, 5PM-5:30PM ET), which originates from the Nasdaq’s MarketSite studio in New York’s Times Square. “Fast Money” gives you the information normally reserved for the Wall Street trading floor, enabling you to make decisions that can make you money. She is also the host of “Options Action,” (Friday, 5:30PM ET), a weekly half-hour program that explains the advantages of options trading.
In addition, Lee is a member of the ensemble cast of CNBC’s “Power Lunch” (M-F, 2PM-3PM ET).
Previously, Lee was co-anchor of CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” and host of “Money in Motion Currency Trading” and “Option’s Action”. She also covered investment banking, hedge funds and private equity for the network.
Lee has reported one-hour documentaries for the network, including “Rise of the Machines (2013),” “Code Wars: America’s Cyber Threat”(2011), ”Coca-Cola: The Real Story Behind the Real Thing” (2009) and ”Porn: Business of Pleasure” (2009). In 2008, Lee reported and anchored a one-hour documentary, “Made in China: People’s Republic of Profit,” from Beijing and Shanghai. She reported extensively for the network on China from the country’s growth to its challenges to the opportunities for U.S. businesses.
Lee received a 2010 Gracie Award for Outstanding Host-News and a Gerald Loeb Award nomination in 2009 for a CNBC Special Report: “Is Your Money Safe? The Fall of Lehman Brothers,” for which she co-anchored. Lee also has been nominated for two Emmy awards in Business News. In 2007, she was recognized for her report, “The $50M Con,” about a college student-turned scammer who ran a fake hedge fund and was ultimately caught by the FBI. And in 2003, she was nominated for her reporting on the proxy voting of mutual funds.
Prior to joining CNBC in 2004, Lee worked for Bloomberg Television and CNN Financial News.
Before her career in television, Lee was a consultant at Mercer Management Consulting. Her cases focused on the banking and credit card sectors.
Lee graduated with honors from Harvard College with a bachelor of arts in government. She also served as Assistant Managing Editor of the Harvard Crimson.
Guy Adami
Guy is an original member of CNBC’s Fast Money. He is currently the Director of Advisor Advocacy at Private Advisor Group in Morristown, New Jersey. Private Advisor Group is comprised of a network of nearly 600 advisors with assets approaching $17B.
Guy has held numerous key leadership roles in the financial services industry. He began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1986 and was quickly promoted to Vice President and head gold trader at the firm. In 1996, he joined Goldman Sachs as their head gold trader and one of the many proprietary traders within the Fixed Income Currency and Commodity division. In the spring of 2000, Adami joined the U.S. Equities division of Goldman Sachs where he was put in charge of the firm’s Industrial/Basic Material group.
Guy is the Vice Chairman of the NJ Chapter of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, who named him their “Man of the Year” in 2015.He also sits on the national board of Invest in Others, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. In August 2012, Guy completed the New York City Ironman.
Tim Seymour
Tim Seymour is founder and Chief Investment Officer of Seymour Asset Management (SAM). SAM provides both asset management and wealth management services for its clients. Tim is also the Portfolio Manager of the Amplify Seymour Cannabis ETF ticker: $CNBS.
Tim has over 24 years of investment experience as a portfolio manager, allocator and capital markets professional across multiple asset classes. Tim is a recognized voice within the investment community as a trader and market strategist on CNBC. For over a decade, Tim has been a primary investor voice on CNBC’s Fast Money. Tim is often cited as one of the top finance professionals on Twitter, including The Wall Street Journal’s “Top Tweets For Your Money”.
Tim was the CIO and co-founder of Triogem Asset Management where the firm’s flagship fund was a long short global equity strategy. Triogem’s investment approach was rooted in running a low volatility portfolio that managed top down risks while employing a rigorous research process to bottom up stock picking.
Prior to Triogem, Tim was co-founder and Managing Partner at Red Star Asset Management (Moscow, New York), where the firm managed a multi-strat fund investing across Russia/Eastern Europe.
Before launching Red Star, Tim was a Partner and Managing Director at Troika Dialog, Russia’s largest investment bank in Moscow. At Troika, Tim served in various roles including running fixed income sales and trading and launching the firm’s US broker/dealer and overseeing all US capital markets activity.
Tim started his career at UBS in New York, focusing on international macro (cash bonds, swaps, forex). Tim completed the firm’s capital markets training program after graduating with an MBA in International Finance from Fordham University.
Tim received his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University.
He acts in an advisory capacity to multiple cannabis companies. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member for The Georgetown Wall Street Alliance.
Tim lives in New York City with his wife and two children. When he is not with his family, Tim is playing drums and singing in his two bands.
Karen Finerman
Karen Finerman began her career as a trader at First City Capital, a risk arbitrage fund. She later joined Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette where she became Lead Research Analyst for the Risk Arbitrage department.
In 1992, she co-founded New York-based hedge fund Metropolitan Capital Advisors, where she currently serves as CEO. Her first book, Finerman’s “Rules: Secrets I’d Only Tell My Daughters About Business and Life,” was released in June 2013.
Ms. Finerman is proud to serve on the board of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and on the Undergraduate Executive Board at Wharton, her alma mater. She lives in New York City with her husband Lawrence Golub, and their two sets of twins: Lucy, Jack, William and Kate.
Dan Nathan
Dan Nathan is the principal of RiskReversal Advisors, founded in 2016, offering consulting services to investment banks, investment advisors, and private companies. Dan is the co-founder of RiskReversal Media and co-host of its podcasts On The Tape, Okay, Computer, and MRKT Call.
Dan spent much of his now 28-year career in finance as an equity and options trader first at hedge funds; SAC, Cheyne, & Exis Capital, within the equity derivatives group of Merrill Lynch, and as a sole proprietor.
Dan is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Originally from Syracuse, New York, he lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters.
