Microsoft has officially announced two upcoming additions to the Xbox Game Pass Standard library, Star Trucker and Wildfrost, both of which go live today, June 18. This month has featured a strong lineup for Xbox Game Pass, highlighting the numerous upcoming games and their day-one availability. Subscribers have plenty to look forward to from the service this month.
Microsoft had previously confirmed an extensive lineup of games set for release in June. A previous Game Pass update added three games: FBC: Firebreak, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Alongside these titles, two more games have been unveiled, and fans can start playing them today.

Xbox Game Pass Standard subscribers can once again play Star Trucker and Wildfrost. This marks the second time these games have been made available to subscribers, as they were previously removed from the platform. Developed by Gaziter and Deadpan Games, Wildfrost is a deck-building roguelike set in a world of endless winter. While it is quite different from the indie hit Balatro, the two games share various gameplay features and high-level design elements. The second available game, Star Trucker, allows players to become truck drivers in outer space and haul cargo.
New Xbox Games Pass Standard Games Available on June 18
Star Trucker (Standard)
Wildfrost (Standard)
Wildfrost and Star Trucker were both released as day-one titles on Xbox Game Pass, launching on December 10, 2024, and September 3, 2024, respectively. It’s not uncommon for Microsoft to remove day-one games from its subscription service. On June 15, seven titles were taken off Xbox Game Pass, including Dordogne, Hypnospace Outlaw, Isonzo, Keplerth, My Time at Sandrock, Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends, and Depersonalization. By the end of June, six additional games will leave Xbox Game Pass, including Arcade Paradise, Journey to the Savage Planet, My Friend Peppa Pig, Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders, SteamWorld Dig, and SteamWorld Dig 2.
Since its launch in June 2017, Xbox Game Pass has established itself as “one of the best deals in gaming.” Over the past nearly 10 years, subscribers have enjoyed day-one access to highly anticipated AAA titles as well as various third-party releases. However, with an ever-increasing library of games as well as general price hikes across the board for video games, Xbox Game Pass will likely increase its price. Nonetheless, the subscription service is expected to remain a good option for gaming on the Xbox and Microsoft family of devices.
