Healing Illness is a mini-game players use to treat sick characters in Where Winds Meet. Young Heroes can also cure their fellow online friends in Co-Op. Healing essentially works like the Gift of Gab in WWM. You need to first find a sick person and heal them using Prescriptions through Physiotherapy or Qi Therapy. Here’s everything you need to know about the healing career and how to cure illness in Where Winds Meet.

How To Heal Illness In WWM – Where Winds Meet

Upon stumbling upon a sick person, use the Wind Sense on them to figure out their illness.

Next, choose the method of treatment best for the illness. Players can choose either Physiotherapy or Qi Therapy, and the game will suggest the best method. If players’ Mastery is high enough, they can choose Quick Treatment and skip the mini-game for automatic success. However, low Mastery means you need to actually start the treatment and use the necessary prescription.

Once the treatment starts, Young Heroes need to keep in mind that the illness will stay contained for 10 rounds, and then it will go out of control. You will have 20 minutes for every treatment, so take your time and think about which Prescriptions to use as you only get 10 rounds. In the bottom-left corner is your Fireyheart, and it is what allows you to use Prescriptions. Choosing to start the next healing cycle will restore all Fireyhearts.

Above your head is your Vital Energy and the bar above the sick is Affliction Severity. You need to reduce the latter to zero while protecting your Vital Energy to have a successful treatment. Physiotherapy and Qi Therapy have the same mechanics, so the following tips apply to both.

Almost all illnesses will attack your Vital Energy at the start of each turn. So, the best first step players can do is use a shield to protect themselves by choosing Inner Stillness/Visualization. If the illness deals high damage, you can always use two shield cards to stack more Vital Energy. Young Heroes can also try to use Prescriptions that’ll attack and decrease the illness’s defense at the same time, like Essential Remedies/Dietary Therapy. Another great Prescription is Anesthesia Powder/Fasting Therapy as it consumes a small percentage of the Doctor’s Vital Energy to deal massive damage. But only use it if you have enough Vital Energy to spare.

Here are some things to keep in mind for a successful treatment:

Use Wind Sense to diagnose the patient.

Choose the correct method of therapy.

Prioritize shielding yourself or decreasing illness defense.

Try to use cards that offer both protection and damage/extra Fireyheart.

Use cards that sacrifice Vital Energy to deal massive damage wisely.

Finish healing before the end of the final round.

Young Heroes will receive many rewards for successfully healing a patient like Echo Jade and Memory. Players who joined the Silver Needles Sect in WWM can also choose their own reward as part of the Sect’s rules. Some patients might get consumed by their illness if the treatment fails and attacks you, like the sick goose.

How To Level Up Healing Mastery In WWM – Where Winds Meet

To increase your mastery and the effects of the Prescription, players need to gather the necessary materials and upgrade their stats in the Profession section. Players can unlock the Profession after reaching level 13 and completing the exploration quest in Where Winds Meet, Legacy: Healer’s Calling.

Healers Upgrade

Obtain Career Notebooks through exploration or the Season Shop to upgrade the Healer’s attributes. It will affect your Vital Energy and other skills. There are five ranks, and you need to pass through five tiers in each rank.

Prescription Upgrade

In the same Season Shop, you may also purchase a Healer Giftbox or Custom Career Giftbox to obtain materials for upgrading the Prescriptions.

It’s also worth mentioning that some of the cards need unlocking before you attempt to use them in Treatment. So make sure to occasionally check the Profession menu to become a capable healer.
