A 3-year-old girl was rushed unconscious to the hospital after she fell out a second-story window in Queens, police said Thursday.
The toddler was knocked unconscious when she hit the pavement outside her home on Myrtle Ave. near 64th St. in Ridgewood about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The girl’s mother was bathing her other child when the victim tumbled out of the open second-floor apartment window, a police source said.
Medics rushed the child to Cohen Children’s Medical Center with minor injuries.
The child’s relatives were inconsolable outside the home after the child was rushed to the hospital, witnesses said. The Queens building has a spa on the first floor.
“I looked and I saw the girl there. She was prone, unconscious and there was a lot of people around her giving her aid ” one witness told ABC7 New York. “It was just very upsetting.”
No charges were immediately filed related to the incident.
