As previously stated, the Berserk manga has had an inconsistent release schedule, and it’s mainly due to the time it takes to complete the artwork. Some people might attribute it to the death of Kentarou Miura, but that’s not the case. Even when the legendary author was alive, there was not a set schedule.
Most fans are happy with the fact that they’re still getting new chapters because they fully expected the manga to go on an indefinite hiatus after Miura’s untimely death. Thankfully, it was picked up by Koji Mori, who promised to adhere to the story that Miura had narrated to him. Mori is not alone on the project. He is supported by Miura’s assistants at Studio Gaga. With their combined efforts, they plan to finish the story just like how Miura wanted.

Recently, there have been rumors of MAPPA trying its luck with the anime. It is one of the most famed studios in the world, and it has been lauded for its work. There’s no doubt that MAPPA is more than capable of delivering the first proper Berserk adaptation in decades, but at the moment, these are only rumors with no concrete evidence. Hopefully, there will be a more solid report in the future.
