An infographic about the Pokemon Trading Card Game’s Perfect Order expansion reveals the most expensive cards from the launch of the game’s newest set. The beloved TCG based on the monster-catching series has already launched multiple expansions to kick off the 30th anniversary of the franchise, including the biggest set in the game’s history. Ascended Heroes, released in January, broke the record for Pokemon TCG’s largest set of all time, with a staggering 290 unique cards to pull from the expansion. The Pokemon TCG also debuted its second set of the year in late March.

Despite being a much smaller set than Ascended Heroes, Perfect Order has plenty of big cards to excite both players and collectors. The expansion introduced the newest member of the highly coveted Mega Hyper Rare tier, with Mega Zygarde ex receiving Perfect Order’s lone golden foil card. Perfect Order also includes some full-art cards that are expected to be competitive staples in the Pokemon TCG, with Meowth ex and Poke Pad both expected to be powerful additions to a variety of decks, but Pokemon fans are now getting a better idea of just how pricey Perfect Order’s new cards are.

Pokemon TCG Chart Shows Perfect Order’s Priciest Cards

Mega Zygarde ex (Mega Hyper Rare): $189

Mega Zygarde ex (Special Illustration Rare): $135

Meowth ex (Special Illustration Rare): $134

Rosa’s Encouragement (Special Illustration Rare): $103

Mega Starmie ex (Special Illustration Rare): $88

Mega Clefable ex (Special Illustration Rare): $85

Jacinthe (Special Illustration Rare): $35

Clefairy (Special Illustration Rare): $30

Meowth ex (Ultra Rare): $19

Poke Pad (Ultra Rare): $18

A new chart, shared by Twitter community account Pokemon-Switch Stock, details the ten most expensive cards in Perfect Order. As expected, the Mega Hyper Rare version of Mega Zygarde ex reigns as the priciest card in the set at $189, while Zygarde’s Special Illustration Rare takes second place at $135. The third-place spot is occupied by the Special Illustration Rare version of Meowth ex, priced at $134, while the SIR Rosa’s Encouragement is the final card priced above $100, at $103. Mega Starmie’s SIR rounds out the top 5 at $88, closely followed by Mega Clefable at $85.

The most expensive cards in Perfect Order should hardly come as a surprise to fans, with the upper echelons of the set dominated by SIR cards. Meowth ex’s regular full-art version serves as the highest-priced Ultra Rare in the set at $19, followed by the Poke Pad UR at $18. The price chart also features a steep dropoff between the 6th and 7th positions, with a $50 difference between the previously mentioned Mega Clefable and the Special Illustration Rare Jacinthe. The set notably features only eight total cards with values sitting above $20, with Mega Zygarde also being the first Mega Hyper Rare to not debut above $200.

The lower prices in Perfect Order as a whole reflect the smaller size of the expansion as a whole. Contrasting the sizable Ascended Heroes, Perfect Order only features 88 cards within its base set, not including any higher rarity cards, with chase cards pushing the total to 124 cards. The expansion is the smallest Pokemon TCG set since Shrouded Fable released in August 2024, which only had a total of 99 cards. Perfect Order’s release also precedes one of the biggest changes of the year for the Pokemon TCG’s competitive format.

Perfect Order’s tournament legality will accompany the annual rotation for the competitive Pokemon TCG, seeing several popular cards and decks leaving the format. The rotation is set to remove all G regulation cards from Pokemon’s Standard format, which includes sets released from the Scarlet and Violet base set through Paradox Rift. Multiple top-tier decks are expected to fall off significantly after the rotation, including the Gardevoir ex deck that won the 2025 Pokemon TCG World Championships and the popular Gholdengo ex deck. Pokemon TCG fans are in for some major changes in just a couple of weeks as the competitive format is set to get a big refresh.
