Fans of turn-based strategy can pick up a free copy of Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War from Good Old Games. Developed by Proxy Studios and published by Slitherine Ltd., Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War first launched on PC in 2018, pitting multiple factions in a war for dominance over the planet of Gladius Prime.

Recent years have seen a huge resurgence for Games Workshop’s flagship Warhammer 40,000 brand. The base game gives players a choice of four of the strongest factions in the Warhammer 40,000 universe: The Space Marines and Astra Militarum of the Imperium, the Orks, and the Necrons. Each faction has a unique gameplay style and technological tree, approaching the conquest of Gladius Prime with an eye towards bespoke strategies designed to take advantage of their distinctive strengths. Players will construct cities, fortifications, and facilities to build out their footholds on the planet and produce the armies needed to destroy their foes. Each faction also has different stories, with unique events and twists that lean into the deep lore of the Warhammer 40,000 setting.
