A 50-year-old woman was found dead with trauma to her head and body inside her Bronx apartment building, police said Sunday.
Cops responding to a 9:39 a.m. 911 call Saturday found Susan Longton dead inside her building on Featherbed Lane near Jerome Ave. in Morris Heights. She had visible signs of trauma to her head and body.
The city Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how she died. No arrests have been made.
“It was shocking,” said neighbor Jose Sanchez, 35, who lives on the building’s first floor. “She always kept to herself. She seemed like she had a shoulder problem or a stiff walk.”

A neighbor on the third floor, who only wanted to be identified as Chris, recalled Longton once making a smoothie for him.
“It’s very sad,” he said. “She was really nice to me.”
