One Piece Chapter 1182 was officially published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #24 on May 10, 2026, and this chapter expanded upon the lore of God Devil Fruits significantly. Not only did it introduce an official godly entity in the form of Rain God Zaza to us, but at the same time it also set up the reveal of three major God Devil Fruits to come after the conclusion of the Elbaph arc. With the story hurtling towards the Great War at a tremendous pace, One Piece’s deities are now going to be more important than ever before, as confirmed by the latest chapter release by Eiichiro Oda.
Eiichiro Oda’s Introduction Of Rain God Zaza In One Piece Chapter 1182 Confirms The Existence Of 3 More God Fruits
One Piece Chapter 1182 marked the return of the story following a two-week break after Golden Week. This chapter was officially a part of Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #24 and came out in Japan on May 10. While it was expected for this chapter to continue the battle between Nerona Imu and Loki, what we did not expect was for another God of the One Piece world to be revealed.
At the very end of One Piece Chapter 1182, Saint Rimoshifu Killingham utilized the power of his Kirin Devil Fruit to dream up a God that the Celestial Dragons are very scared of. This godly entity is none other than Rain God Zaza. The reveal of Rain God Zaza in One Piece Chapter 1182 has officially confirmed that all the Gods that the people of Skypiea prayed to in Chapter 287 of the manga, which was officially released in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #37-38 back on August 11, 2003, are real.
“Appearing to the rhythm of the prayers for rain…Rain God Zaza!” — Saint Rimoshifu Killingham in One Piece Chapter 1182
As is the case with the Sun God Nika, all these Gods exist in the world of One Piece as Devil Fruit users to be revealed in the Final Saga. Taking all things into consideration, the Skypeia arc specifically mentioned four gods to us, and one of them is the Sun God Nika, who was officially brought back into the story in chapter 1044 of the Wano Country arc in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #17 on March 28, 2022. The remaining three gods are only going to be revealed to us in the arc that follows.

Why The Arcs After Elbaph Will Reveal The Earth God, Forest God, And Rain God Devil Fruits
One Piece’s Elbaph arc is currently very close to its conclusion. In Chapter 1182, we saw the battle to save the country officially begin, with Zoro and Sanji intending to stop Sommers and Killingham, while Luffy and Loki intend to stop Nerona Imu. This final battle is not going to last too long and will end soon. As soon as the Imu fight ends, One Piece will head towards a new story arc, and it is here that the other God fruits are likely to be introduced one by one.
“God of the Sun, God of the Rain, God of the Forest, God of the Earth, please take this woman’s blood and save our village from disaster.” — Shandian Elder in One Piece Chapter 287
Taking a look at Chapter 287 of the Skypeia arc, Eiichiro Oda specifically highlighted four gods to the fans:
Sun God Nika, who fans know is none other than Luffy.
The Rain God, who we know already exists thanks to Killingham’s Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin, although the wielder of the Rain God Zaza Devil Fruit remains unknown still.
The Forest God, who, according to The Harley, is the one who sent forth demons during the Void Century War.
The Earth God, who has been alive in the world of One Piece for over a thousand years.
When it comes to the Earth God specifically, he was present in the First World, according to the Harley texts from Chapter 1138, and also in the Second World. What exactly the power of the Earth God is remains to be seen. But it is said that in the First World, the Earth God teamed up with the Serpent of Hellfire and ended up destroying the entire world, following the arrival of the Sun God Nika.
At the very least, the Earth God is portrayed to be an evil god on the opposing end of both the Rain God and the Sun God, and that is certainly interesting to consider. In either case, in the next arcs of One Piece, the powers of the Earth God, the Forest God, and the Rain God will officially be unveiled one after another, and that is something that we’re all incredibly excited about.

One Piece’s Great War Will Officially Deliver A Battle Of Gods
With each passing arc, One Piece’s Great War edges closer. This is the very same arc that Eiichiro Oda promises is going to be much greater and better than Marineford, which he only considered a side trip. In the Elbaph arc, Gunko stated in chapter 1142 that the battle for Elbaph is the prelude to the Great War. In other words, the Great War is going to begin after the Elbaph arc wraps up.
“One thing that motivates me to keep drawing One Piece is that I want to draw the final saga. The final saga will be so amazing that it makes the Marineford arc look like nothing. The Marineford arc was just a side trip to me. I didn’t expect it to be so popular.” — Eiichiro Oda, 2012
By the time of this war, all the Gods that were teased by Eiichiro Oda in the story should have made an appearance. As such, following the conclusion of the Elbaph arc, the Forest God, the Rain God, as well as the Earth God must have made their presence known and stamped their authority in the story. The narrative importance of these gods is absolutely immense, and they will surely play a significant role in the story from here onwards.
As things stand, the Sun God Nika is already a familiar sight for the fans. The Rain God, who appears to be an ally of the Sun God, will most likely appear soon and oppose the Celestial Dragons, given that all of their kind are known to fear the Rain God. The role and identity of the Forest God remains a complete mystery, but he too could be an ally of the Sun God. Finally, the Earth God appears to be an enemy and it will most certainly play an exciting role in the story in the future. It is also possible that the Earth God is none other than Imu, but at the moment this is only speculation and more information will be required from the author to truly ascertain the identity of this legendary deity in the world of One Piece. With each step that Oda takes towards the Great War, the importance of the Gods grows, and that’s exciting for us all in its own way.
